Having been in the game since the early 1990s, WebTrends has had plenty of time to bring about a powerful analytics tool, and we believe it is does a fantastic job of measuring a company’s online presence.
WebTrends is offered in two arrangements: On-Demand and software, the price for both varying depending on the amount of page views. The On-Demand format, which is offered on a month-by-month basis, is designed to give the user real-time information, constantly updating to ensure you know the going-ons of your Website at all times. This service can collect detailed geographic data information and tracks technology information like browser, operating system and display data.
WebTrends has the ability to take-in and organize massive amounts of information. This service can track all unique visitors, allowing you to better understand who is coming and going, at what times, and across multiple domains.
However, while an extensive reporting system is where WebTrends shines, it is also where it falters. Although many large companies will see the plethora of applications available with WebTrends useful, small businesses may find these same applications daunting and unnecessary.
This being said, we were very pleased with WebTrends on the whole. In addition to providing a great service, they have good technical support and make the upgrade process easy.
